They outstrip complaints about the second highest category, used car dealers. Figures from the Office of Fair Trading clearly show the need for such a government endorsed trade association. The Office of Fair Trading figures now show that over 111, 000 people have their own building horror stories to tell.

Both Which? and the Trading Standards Institute, along with the Government have given their backing, support and facilitated this much needed scheme. Hertfordshire Driveways Ltd are a proud members of TrustMark.

Where you see the TrustMark logo, you can be guaranteed:

  • A firms technical competence, trading record and financial position is checked by an approved scheme operator
  • Firms must adhere to a code of practice covering, insurance, health and safety and customer care
  • Customers will be informed of any building regulations that must be met

  • If the firm does not provide insurance cover, customers will be given the option to buy warrantee

Brett - Approved Installer Scheme Member

Brett Approved Installer Scheme

At Brett Paving they share the same concerns as Trust mark and this is why they continue to develop the Brett Approved Installer Scheme, a network of installers whos workmanship is assessed by them to eliminate the risk of choosing a poor contractor. All Brett approved installers must abide by the conditions stated below:

  • Provide a professional service, be courteous at all times and keep the work site safe and tidy from the first visit to completion.
  • Take accurate site measurements on which to base a clear quotation including key design details, projected start and finish timescales and agreed payment terms.
  • Provide at least seven days notice prior to the work starting and communicate details of progress and disruptions expected.
  • Install your project to the relevant British Standards for the particular type of installation.
  • Provide you with a five year underwritten installation guarantee if relevant products are used for over 70% of the total installation area. (Hertfordshire Driveways offers their own ten year unconditional guarantee).
  • Have a minimum of £2,000,000 public liability insurance.
